Both lift surface oil effectively; the base material matters more than the additive for raw absorption. Charcoal reads as a deep-clean, purifying, often masculine story; green tea reads as antioxidant, soothing, clean-beauty — and tends to be a little sturdier in hand. Many oily-skin ranges carry both.
Bamboo charcoal blotting paper
Activated bamboo charcoal gives the sheet a dark, matte look and a visible "detox / deep-clean" narrative. It performs strongly with oily, congested and men's-line positioning, and pairs naturally with a natural-fibre base such as linen. It's the best-selling material among overseas DTC and drugstore brands.
Green tea blotting paper
Green tea extract carries an antioxidant and soothing story — a strong fit for clean-beauty, vegan and sensitive-leaning ranges. On a linen base it's also noted for being sturdier and less likely to tear when pulled from the pack, which improves the everyday experience.

Look at the first row. Bamboo charcoal is a heavier sheet — 20 g/m² against the 16 g/m² classic linen that is the industry reference. That extra weight is the charcoal carried in the sheet, not extra blotting capacity, so do not read it as "charcoal absorbs more". Green tea is built on a different base and we quote its weight per project rather than publish a figure we have not verified for the finished sheet.
